Oh dear – I’m not really sure how this happened (well, that’s not exactly true and who would believe me anyway!) but 22 books found their way into my mailbox this month.

From the author/publisher:

Virgin and the Crab by Robert Parry
Mistress of Rome by Kate Quinn
Bought used (Ok, this is where I really got into trouble this month. I was home sick for a couple of days and to make myself feel better, I bought books)
Memorial to the Duchess by Jocelyn Kettle
The King of Athelney by Alfred Duggan
The King’s Daughters by Molly Costain Haycraft
White Rose and Ragged Staff by Elizabeth Siebert
Less Fortunate than Fair by Sandra Wilson

Ooh, I'm jealous! But on the other hand, my own TBR pile is about to knock me unconscious!

Fantastic haul! I always feel better buying books also.
I don't think I ordered Roses of Glory but I have all the others, I hope to get to them sometime this fall. Question: On your Marc Morris book, is the title page signed? I can't tell if mine is a photocopy or an original.
Also saw Dickon there, would love to hear how you like that one.
What a pile there!
=) Good hunting!

It's true, buying books always improves my mood! I have copies of many of those (same covers, too!) but not all.

Wowser! That's quite the load of books. I buy books when I'm not feeling well too. It's especially easy when you can buy them online. I just finished Mistress of Rome and it was great.
