During my short trip to London last summer (while "dropping" my daughter off for her summer college program), I spent a day at the Victoria and Albert Museum (the V&A). Despite the strange and frustrating layout of the interior, I really enjoyed looking at the variety of things they have there. It's unbelievable! So here are a few of t he 400+ pictures I took there.
The front entrance
One of the most impressive collections is known as the "Cast Courts" - two ginormous rooms full of plaster casts reproductions of famous sculptures from around the world. Most were made in the 19th century. The collection includes casts of several royal effigies, including Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine, John, Richard I as well as their spouses and a few others. This shot was taken from the balcony - I thought they looked kind of cool all lined up like that.
These oak and ironwork doors date from the 13th century.

Love the photo of the entrance! I can't believe you took 400+ pics just in the V&A. Thank goodness for digital camera :-) The V&A is a great museum.
