The famed "Eleanor" vase, given to Louis VII by his wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine.  My daughter gave me a strange look when I told her I simply had to get a picture of this.  According to the Louvre's website, the crystal vase part may date from the 6th or 7th century while the gilded silver pieces with gemstones and pearls were added much later.
