From the Cluny Museum in Paris (from 2011). I could have spent all day here, but sadly, had to settle for a couple of hours.
In addition to the famous Lady and the Unicorn series, the Cluny is home to many other tapestries. Here is part of one that had us cracking up:
I have no idea what it says, but those little blocks of text were all over the tapestry - a medieval cartoon of sorts I guess!
Vaulting in the Chapel
A small section of a 15th century German painted table. The table is almost 15 feet long (455 cm) and in this scene, a king wonders about four things he does not know: the way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid (information from the guidebook).
